I really wanted to like The Fall Guy, but this 2024 film was excessively long and lacked the pacing of a decent action movie. That’s what the original Fall Guy show was all about, right? It was action mixed with some crime solving. This film, however, felt more like a romcom with explosions to keep the audience awake.

The main character is a stuntman who is unsurprisingly thrown into a murder mystery where he is the only one who can set things right. He and his maybe-girlfriend go back and forth with romcom drama for nearly two hours, but they ultimately end up together. He had a truck like the original show, and there was a Lee Majors reference from The Six Million Dollar Man. Honestly, that’s all I can remember. We live in 2024, after all, so of course, we can’t have an original story without nostalgia carrying the entire weight of the movie.

I would continue writing more, but this one isn’t worth thinking about any longer. Do yourself a favor and watch something else.
