Generation Kill

Great acting, cast, environments, camera work, and no modern day PC nonsense to be found. It was a really fun watch - mostly due to how much stuff went wrong with each of their few missions.

The series follows a Marine recon platoon during the Iraq war while they journeyed across enemy lines, encountered many ambushes in urban environments, dealt with incompetent leadership, friendly fire, lack of supplies, no comforts, and clashing personalities all struggling with the overwhelming sensory overload.

There is not a lot of action, but there’s enough to remind the viewer that they’re in a war. Most of it is focused around the drama and conflicting personalities typically found in a military squadron.

Overall this is a good watch. Just don’t watch it if you’re the kind of person that tells people your pronouns.
