Romeo Must Die

The story is basic Romeo & Juliet, but placed in an “urban” environment. Jet Li is always great, but doesn’t particularly shine here like he does in movies that know how to use his talents.

In the 2000’s, Li was under-utilized in stuff like the Mummy, Unleashed, The One (ugh), and War. His better films would be Fearless, Hero, Lethal Weapon 4 (I love this franchise), and pretty much anything from Fist of Legend and earlier.

Rumor has it that the Lethal Weapon 4 crew told him to slow down, so the camera could catch his moves.
