Spaceman popped up on my server yesterday and, although it has Adam Sandler as the lead, the idea of a potential space adventure with Billy Madison was enough to get me to click play.

Spaceman spent the entire two hours deep diving into Sandler’s failing relationship and how metaphorical and physical distance destroyed the thing he cared about most. There was an interesting guest on his capsule that served as a plot device to keep things moving, but this new friend of his was underutilized given the subject matter.

I suppose getting a much better version of Life was what I was expecting. The fact that this took place in space was irrelevant. Sandler could just as easily have been in a war with his buddy coaching him through his relationship issues. Solid two stars.

“Mr. Madison, what you’ve just said is one of the most insanely idiotic things I have ever heard. At no point in your rambling, incoherent response were you even close to anything that could be considered a rational thought. Everyone in this room is now dumber for having listened to it.
