Requirements

To make a skateboard, you need seven layers of 1/8" hardwood sheets, a lot of glue, some foam, a vacuum bag, lots of sand paper, and misc. righteous skateboard accessories.

Build

I spent some time looking around local lumber yards in the bay area and couldn’t find any properly sized veneer. However, you can pick up most of the equipment here for cheap. The rest of the stuff, like trucks, wheels, spacers, and grip tape can be snagged from Amazon brah.

Lessons

Add finish after grip tape. Tape won’t stick otherwise. Also, verify the clearance between your wheels and board when turning. My trucks sit too low for my wheels and bite the board. This is easily fixed though.
